Adventures in the land of ice...

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Last time (a very long time ago), I hoped that I'd have some news to share with you from a more exotic location.

Well, that hope has since come true!  My human and I packed our bag (complete with a luggage tag that  resembles yours truly), and early one morning we boarded a flight for...drumroll please...

ICELAND.  This country is famous for its hot springs, especially the Blue Lagoon, pictured below.

The water looks milky because of all the dissolved sediments.  It's supposed to be very good for your skin.  Well...for human skin, anyway!

After my human and I dried off from our lagoon adventure, we were off to our next destination, the  Fridheimar farmsite.

Since Iceland is an island nation, it would be expensive to import all their produce...so greenhouses help supply some of the demand.  Look at all these tomatoes.  I know a couple of little bears (ahem, Sandy, Jerry, Ben) who would love to try their green thumbs in here!

All these tomatoes need pollination, so every 2 weeks or so, the farm orders a Big Ol' Box o' Bees (TM) and sets them loose in the greenhouse.

Here's the view through the glass top:

Fridheimar also offers a café where you can try their tomato-based products.  There's tomato soup, an assortment of Bloody Marys, tomato beer, tomato cheesecake, and even TOMATO ICE CREAM!

That last one sounds too exotic for my taste...I think I'll just try the soup.

This guy is slicing up some bread to go with the soup.  I know a little bear with a big appetite (ahem, Jerry) who would love to be here right now!
Mmmmm.  That soup was indeed delicious (although if you ask me, it could have used a touch of bacon).   But now it's time to get back on the road.  I wonder where we'll end up next?...
