Hey, what's up, dogs?
You know, ever since my harrowing firsthand experience with crime, I've been paying more attention to
crime reports on the news. It seems like things are really out of
control. The police are strapped for manpower and resources...they can
only be in so many places at once. So a lot of people need
help that they're not getting.
This makes me kind of sad. And kind of mad. Someone should really do something about this. Someone should stand up for ordinary citizens. Someone should...
Wait a minute.
If I've learned anything during my life as a dog, it's this: If you want to bury a bone, you'd better do it yourself.
And hey, I already have a costume, so I'm all set:
The BARK KNIGHT has risen! Beware, evildoers everywhere!

Movies
Hey, what's up dogs! It's one of those cozy, lazy afternoons, and...Mmmm. Do I smell...popcorn?
"Hey, do you guys want to watch a movie?" Spunky asked.
Yeah! That sounds like a great idea. Which one were you thinking of, Spunk?
"Well ...this one's always been one of my favorites," Spunky said.
Patch's eyes bugged out.
"Oh, no," he whimpered. "Way too scary. Too many monsters and guns and explosions. I'll have nightmares."
"Okay, okay," Spunky said. "Not that one." He rummaged around in our human's video collection. "How about this one instead?"
"That's a good one, lads," Grandma began. "A swashbuckling adventure, for certain."
"Unh-unh," Patch shook his head. "Way too scary. Too many swordfights and guns and explosions. I'll have nightmares."
Spunky stared hard at Patch, sighed, and rummaged through the collection once more.
You don't do well with scary movies, huh, Patch?
"No," Patch said apologetically. "I guess I'm kind of a fraidy-dog."
Don't say that. We just have to find something that we can all watch together. Okay...here comes Spunky.
"All right," Spunky said. "This is the most non-threatening movie I could find in the video stash. What do you think, Patch?"
"Err..." Patch hesitated. "I--I guess that'll work. I'll just cover my eyes when the arrows are about to hit."
Wow. Choosing a movie we could all watch was more difficult than I thought it would be. I had no idea Patch was so...easily affected by these things. But anyway...let's dish up that popcorn and dim the lights, everybody!
See you next time!

Trains, planes, and...uh...more trains.
Hey, what's up, dogs? It's good to be back after my involuntary absence. Today my human said she thought I could use a field trip. I think she's trying to distract me from the memory of being held against my will a few weeks ago.
Anyway, we're visiting Northlandz, which advertises itself as the world's largest model railroad exhibit. I apologize in advance for the low lighting in some of the pictures...I guess they're trying to set a mood.
Here we go...
Wow. This place is huge! Look at all the details.
According to the website, there's over 8 miles of model railroad track at Northlandz, and over 100 model trains. We saw some of the dormant trains here...
Some of the bridges reportedly span 40 feet!
I'm just a dog in the city.
Now I'm a dog in the country.
This must be the control room. I wonder how much power it takes to run all the trains? We asked the lady at the front desk, but she wasn't sure.
Ooo, ooo! It's a river of money! People have been tossing little tips in the "stream" for decades.
Look at all that loot. It would be so easy to just...casually...reach down and...
(At this point, my human quickly snatched me up and proceeded to the next display. What? I wasn't doing anything! I was just looking! Honest!)
Northlandz also has lots of other collectibles on display.
For instance, this case is full of vintage teddy bears. My bear friends Sandy, Jerry and Ben, and Ajdin might find this interesting.
Here's a case of Star Wars models and miniatures. Ajdin Salmonfisher needs to pose with this one.
And toward the end, there's a case full of every Beanie Baby known to man!
...Wait a minute. Do you see what I see? A familiar face!
Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my little adventure. And...um...let's not tell Spunky we saw yet another of his relatives, okay? I'm not sure he could go through that again.
Thanks for tuning in! See you next time!
