A tail of three dogs...conclusion

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Last time we left you with a cliffhanger...again.  Spunky and Patch had noticed that my tail bends waaaaaaay to the right...

...and Spunky had gone on the Internet to search for possible causes.

And he found something.

"Mmm-hmm," he muttered.  "Very interesting."

What???  What's interesting???  Is it something bad???  Do I have a serious illness???  Do I need surgery???...

"No, no," Spunky said quickly.  "Here.  Look at this article."

Patch and I crowded around to get a closer look.

"According to this article," said Spunky, "some scientists did a study on dog communication and tail wagging.  The dogs who wagged to the right seemed happier and friendlier."

Oh.  So if my tail bends waaaaaaaay to the right....

"I guess it means you're an extremely happy and friendly dog," Patch said.

"Which we knew already," Spunky added.  "That's why you're our best friend."

Awwww....thanks guys.  You're the best!

Whew.  It's such a relief to know there's nothing seriously wrong with my tail.

"So are you thinking about getting it straightened?" Patch asked.

Nah, I'm not going to get it straightened.  As long as it's healthy, I'll just keep wagging to the right.  It means I'm happy, right?

Till next time!

A tail of three dogs

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Today I made a somewhat...disturbing discovery.  Or rather, my friends did.

It was another beautiful spring day, and I was ready to lead the pack outside to enjoy the sunny weather, when...

"Hey, Droopy!" Patch exclaimed.  "Did you know your tail bends to the right?"

...What?

"Wow, yes!" Spunky said.  "Your tail bends waaaaaaaaay to the right."

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

I asked my human to take a picture of my back end so I could see for myself.  Sure enough, my tail bends to the right.

And not just a little bit, either.

"Well, doesn't every dog's tail bend like this?" I asked.

"Not mine," Spunky said.

"Not mine," Patch said.

Oh.  Hmmm.

"Has anyone ever stepped on your tail and broken it?"  Spunky asked.

No, I think I'd remember that.

"Maybe you were born with it," Patch said.

Well...but nobody has ever noticed it before.

"Maybe you should see a chiropractor," Patch suggested.  "I hear they're good at straightening things out."

I just hope this isn't a sign of a more serious medical condition.

"Don't worry, I'm on it," Spunky said.  He hopped onto the computer to do some research.

"Mmm-hmm," he muttered.  "Mmm-hmm.  Very interesting."

Oh dear.  Remember, Spunky went to the University of Muttecine and Dogistry, like me.  And whenever a medical professional says "Very interesting," it makes me very nervous.  I wonder what he found?...

Spring has sprung!

Hey, what's up dogs?  Crocodile Dogdee here.  I was just making my usual daily rounds of the property, securing it against rogue reptiles and such, when I found evidence that the seasons are changing.  Here's what I mean:

Daffodils.  I know a particular pair of little bears who will appreciate these.

And these...uh...blue flowers.  I don't know what they're called.  I'm a survivalist, not a botanist.  All I know is, they look nice against my fur.

Does anyone know what they're called?

Whew!  It was really warm in my camo gear today.  More evidence that spring has sprung!  I'll probably need to change outfits soon.

Till next time!

An Easter package

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Today is Easter Sunday I woke up to a surprise--a mysterious package in the middle of the living room.

It appears to be a basket.  That makes sense--it's Easter, after all.

I whistled for my friends.

"Hey, guys!" I called.  "Come and take a look at this."

Patch and Spunky arrived shortly afterward, and the three of us observed the basket for a few minutes.

"Um...did you see that?" Patch asked nervously.

"See what?" Spunky replied.

"I thought I saw it move," Patch said, even more nervously.

Spunky and I both agreed that we needed to check out the contents of the package.  Our human's safety might be at stake.

Patch didn't like the idea much, but he eventually agreed to join us.  Which was good, because we needed him...as you can see below.

It was a delicate operation.  Spunky balanced himself precariously on top and peered into the package.

"What do you see, Spunk?" I called.

"Um...I see pink fluff," he responded.

Huh?  Pink fluff??

At that moment...

"Hi there!" a voice said cheerfully.

Spunky and I were so surprised that we lost our balance and fell.

"Oh, no!" wailed the bunny.  "I'm sorry!  Please don't give me a bad evaluation!"

"Who are you?" Patch asked.

"Oh, I totally forgot!" said the bunny.  "Happy Easter.  My name is Carrots and I'm a E.B.I.T."

"An E.B.I.T.?" I asked, perplexed.

"Easter-Bunny-in-Training," Carrots answered promptly.  "Here's my card."

An Easter-Bunny-in-Training?  We'd never heard of that before.

Carrots explained, "Well, you see, every bunny that wants to work as an Easter Bunny must go through a rigorous training program.  It takes a very long time and it's very hard.  But when we're done, we get to write two little letters after our name--E.B., for Easter Bunny.  It's a tremendous honor!

"As part of our training, we do home visits.  That is, we're assigned to homes around the country for a period of time, where we practice spreading love, giving hugs, and hiding Easter eggs.

"This is my first home visit and I'm very excited!  But you're going to have to write me an evaluation, so I hope I didn't blow it already."

"No problem," Spunky said.  "Nobody was hurt.  We were just surprised, that's all."

I said, "And if you want to learn how to spread love, you can start by helping us wish our blog friends a very HOPPY EASTER!"

Hope everyone has a great holiday!  Till next time...

Happy birthday to me

Hey, what's up, dogs?  So I figured out why my human seemed so flustered yesterday when I found the BIRTHDAY CANDLES at the bottom of the shopping bag.  It was because today is my birthday, and she wanted to surprise me, and she thought I might have caught her.

And yes, I know it's also April Fools Day.  Don't start.

Anyway, today I got some new clothes.  On the left:  "V.I.P. Very Important Pooch."  On the right:  "Been there, Chewed That."

My human also let me choose what I wanted to eat for lunch.  I chose meat, of course.

Afterward, Spunky, Patch, and I gathered around my birthday cake while our human went to find some matches.  I tried to think of a really good wish to make as I blew out my candle.

I wish that the next year will be just as good as this year was, and that we'll make some new friends through this blog.

What a great day!  Here's to next year.

Till next time!
